It was one of the most memorable shows we did for my memory. It was before the Curtain came down, so getting there was quite difficult. I drove into Budapest to see lot's of posters on the walls for the show. It was at a large venue. Put on by some fellow industrialists there in Hungary.

A;grumh was the opening act. They changed their show quite a bit. We played and I remember blowing alot of speakers, and most of the equipment was very old. I broadcast some Hungarian radio live on stage and someone told me it was about the fear of a 30 year aniversary of Russia taking control of the area.

Apparently some secret police were there and gave the promoter alot of questions about how I was able to do that. They were quite upset apparently.
We did a slightly less gory and less bloody show, but still managed to shock a few.

There was about 500 people there. Some were very happy to see the band. Some also asked us to take them out of Hungary in our truck, but of course we couldn't, as we knew a big search would be awaiting us at the border.
I remember walking around Budapest, very beautiful city, with some gypsys selling clothes, eating some sweet cakes and some chicken which was still pink in the middle.
Also I remember eating cheese on bread which was very nice, and it was great that there was NO McDonalds! yeah!

We went to a amazing party at some place where you had to go underground to a small white cave like room, where there was some band improvising some seriously unmusical type of performance. Someone got in a fight with the musicians who kickked his butt off the stage when he tried to join in. We had a van which was full of lots of Hungarian people after (24 people) and we went to another party at a house on a hill, that had a secret room with videos and music from the west. We bought alot of beer and stuff for very cheap and had a very fun time. Dwayne and I met two lovely girls who didn't speak english but they wanted to kiss us, This was also quite fun. One girl fell down some hill outside and I remember it being very foggy. I thought about Dracula.
I still have wanted to go back to see Budapest today. But I still have never made it back.
It is on my list of things I really want to do again.
Ogre and I are currently considering doing some very limited performances in Europe this year as Skinny Puppy. We are thinking of doing a very theatrical show, as we were offered quite a bit of money to do some in Germany and England. I wish we could do another in Budapest.
